The Official Student ID Validator is an application that reads the student card's QR Code and checks if the layout and respective digital certificate are valid. It is one of the main projects that support the Half-Price Ticket law, enabling real-time verification of the student status of the document holder.

This application was created exclusively to verify the authenticity of the student card and prevent:

• The purchase of half-price tickets with fake or irregular student documents, assisting cinemas, event producers, theaters, concert halls, and other establishments in strict compliance with Half-Price Ticket Law 12.933;
• Students from buying fake documents that do not comply with the law and national standards.

The student card validation process verifies if the requirements and issues related to the digital certificate are in accordance with the premises defined by ITI (National Institute of Information Technology).

To check the validity of your student card:

1. Download the Meia Entrada app from Google Play or Apple's App Store
2. Open the Meia Entrada app and click on the "VALIDATE DOCUMENT" button
3. Wait for the validation result (Valid/Invalid)

Meiaentrada.org.br is a non-governmental, non-profit organization supported by major student entities in Brazil, aiming to help enforce law 12.933.

Below is a list of student entities integrated into Meiaentrada.org.br:

• UNE - National Union of Students
• UBES - Brazilian Union of Secondary Students
• ANPG - National Association of Postgraduates

The ITI (Information Technology Institute) issued Ordinance no. 78, which regulates the digital certification of the Student ID. According to the ordinance, it is established that the validation of the student card is done digitally through an electronic application capable of reading the QR Code on the student card, where its validity and authenticity will be verified.
